Indrani Kothari (Raveena Tandon) is the queen of Alibaug. No one has the courage to stand in front of him without his consent. She is not only the owner of her house and Kothari Industry worth crores, but she also has her own influence in the high society.

Indrani's life starts changing when a girl named Karma Talwar (Namrata Sheth) enters the story. She beats Indrani in the race to buy a neighboring villa. This villa was once occupied by Indrani's best friend Dolly (Walucha). The Karma sword has a purpose, which is clear. She wants revenge at any cost.

This web series starring Raveena Tandon is the local version of the hit American show 'Revenge'. The series constantly strives to fit in with Indrani's glittering world and her blood-soaked revenge tale. The biggest problem here is that the screenplay of the series seems superficial and lazy. It focuses entirely on retelling a West Country story in a country setting. There are many characters who are stereotypes. These characters lack depth. They constantly emphasize on words like 'rich' and 'poor', which makes the whole story seem dull.

There is also confusion in the portrayal of characters and their situations on screen. For example, no one knows how Karma Talwar, an orphan, came to possess so much wealth. It is also not clear what work she does. Similarly, there is a group of brothers who run a luxurious café in a beach town, but in which the younger brother constantly complains about the family's breakdown and poverty. Indrani's daughter Meera (Devangshi Sen) is an Instagrammer, who lives for likes and shares. But she accuses her mother of being fake and artificial.

The dialogues of 'Karma Calling' also do not work. The screenplay lacks believability and that is why it is difficult to feel anything for its characters. Even Indrani, the main character of the story, is not clear about what her intentions are, what she really wants! While watching the series, it also seems very strange that Karma is taking revenge very easily, while her planning is very absurd. She creates havoc in the lives of Indrani and the people associated with her without any problem.

However, the main attraction of the show is Raveena Tandon, who proves her mettle even on the small screen. Even though there are many flaws in the screenplay, despite this, Raveena understands the nuances of her character very well. Namrata Seth also works with full confidence. Viraf Patel looks cartoonish in the role of Zain Khan, a rich homosexual. Rohit Roy in the role of Karma's father Satyajit looks good even in his short screen time. Varun Sood and Devangshi Sen have looked good in the roles of Indrani's rebellious children.
