'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva', if seen in a way, is a good attempt to bring the young generation running away from Sanatan cultures and traditions back towards their axis. While in films the process of touching feet usually boils down to slipping below the knees, here the hero of the story goes and touches the feet of his superiors at least twice, right up to the toes.
The expectations from the film 'Brahmastra' are much higher than those made by its makers, which the attentive viewers of Hindi cinema have had for many years from this film. The boycott of Hindi cinema that has been going on since the sudden death of Sushant Singh Rajput may have come to a halt on this film because the curiosity that has been there among the audience about the film has made the first day of the film wonderful.
Hindi cinema has not seen such an opening of any film in recent times. The indication is clear that the boycott of the film on social media did not affect the advance booking and first day booking of the film. This bumper opening of the film shows the excitement of the audience about the film. The collection of Saturday and Sunday will tell how successful the film was in maintaining the enthusiasm of the audience.
Ayan Mukherjee's film 'Brahmastra', conceived 11 years ago, is proposed to be made in three parts. Ayaan has made the first part of this story in the form of the film 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva'. Ayaan has also announced to make its sequel as the film 'Brahmastra: Part Two Deva' in the climax of the film. At the point where the story stops in the first film, the audience remains interested in watching its second part.
In the mythological stories of Hindu religion, Brahmastra is the weapon which never misses after being fired. Here, those who read Ramcharit Manas telling the great story of Treta Yuga, will remember the couplet 'Brahma Astra Tehi Sandha Kapi Man Kinh Vichar'. 'Jau Na Brahma Sir Manaun Mahima Mittai Apar.' Then it has also been used in the Mahabharata war that took place in Dwapar. This is a weapon which is infallible.
It can be used again and again. And, whenever it is used it does not return empty. Some bow themselves before it and get tied in the loop and by removing some from the target, the direction of the Brahmastra is also changed. Ayan Mukherjee's 'Brahmastra' is a film. Its story runs in the present, past and future.
'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' I saw here in Anaheim, a city famous as the town of the first Disneyland built by Walt Disney near Los Angeles, USA. The fair has started attracting tourists from all over the world in Anaheim. D23 Expo is going to start here from Friday.
Thousands of tourists come to this event which takes place every two years. And, this year its specialty is that with this the 100th year of the establishment of Disney is beginning. 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' is also a film of Disney's branch Star Studios. This coincidence is also unique. Watching 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva', which was included in Disney's international release list, in America was a different feeling because I got to meet some Hindi cinema lovers in the theater here.
